The employee directory

For: an admin. Takes about 5 minutes.

What this is

The People directory (/people) shows everyone connected to your company in one place. That includes employees, contractors, and shared accounts like support@ or a service bot. Stacktic builds it by syncing your Google Workspace directory, so you don't keep it up to date by hand. Each row shows:

  • a person's department;
  • whether they have a Stacktic login;
  • how many tools they have access to;
  • when Stacktic last saw them log in to a connected tool.

The filter views

Five tabs sit above the table:

  • Employees: your current team. This is the default view.
  • Contractors: people flagged as contractors, either from your Google org-unit structure or by hand. It has columns for their sponsor (the person accountable for their access) and when their engagement ends. A classification you set by hand sticks. Google sync won't change it back.
  • Shared: accounts that aren't a single person, like role mailboxes, distribution lists, bots, and so on.
  • Offboarded: anyone whose lifecycle status is Offboarded, employee or contractor.
  • All: every record, with a Status column showing what each row actually is.

Individual people vs. shared accounts

Every row has an account type: an individual person, or a shared account. A shared account also has a type of its own, such as bot, distribution list, role mailbox, and a few others. That way you can tell billing@ apart from a Slack integration bot at a glance. Shared accounts that don't have a type yet are called out, so you can deal with them.

The person profile

Clicking a row opens that person's profile, with up to six tabs:

  • Overview: their synced details (name, title, department, source). It also has notes and department, which you can edit in Stacktic.
  • Access: every tool they can get into. It mirrors a tool's own Access tab.
  • Manages: tools they own or admin. Only shown when the person is a Stacktic admin.
  • Integrations: live connections whose credential (the key or account Stacktic connects with) belongs to them. Only shown when they own at least one.
  • Signals: active and recently resolved signals about this person.
  • Activity: an audit feed, meaning a log of changes involving this person.

Any member of your Stacktic organization can open a profile and read every tab. A User sees the same six tabs you do, including the Access tab's action menu. They just can't edit department or notes. That takes an Admin.

What you'll see

An offboarded person's profile shows a banner with any access still outstanding. Some contractors get a warning chip right on their directory row:

  • a contractor without a named sponsor;
  • a contractor whose engagement has already ended.

That way, gaps in accountability are visible without opening the profile.
